Why Should/Must We Question the Claims in the Bible?
The Christian religion asks us to accept anything the Bible says, at face-value:
Because it is in the Bible
Because the Bible is the word of God
Because the Bible is true and… (drum roll)
Because it is in the Bible
Should/Must We Accept the Miraculous Claims of the Bible?
We must question the Bible’s claims for at least three reasons:
These are extraordinary claims of unusual miracles
The teachings of the Bible claim to hold the fate of humanity. Anybody who doesn’t accept the teachings of the Bible, namely not accepting Jesus Christ as their savior, will burn in Hell for eternity
If these claims were made from another religion, we would not accept them at face value (would you accept these claims « as-is » (at face value)?)
Quoting or Referencing the Bible
When non-Christians refer to the Bible, Christians get upset asking:
“Why do you quote the Bible if you don’t believe what it says?”
The Bible is the best book that shows that the God of the Ibrahimic religions is an impossibility, based on what both the Bible itself says and its related religions claim:
Omnipotence
Omnipresence
Omniscience (Jeremiah 1:4-5)
And free-will
etc
If non-Christians don’t refer to the Bible in discussions, Christians ask: “Why do you criticize a book you know nothing about?”. Therefore, non-Christians must know and quote the Bible
Conclusion
Since you would not believe any absurdity coming from another religion, you must verify and validate the Bible’s claims; otherwise you would be using a double-standards
